The final success Los Banos has had in the past five years is its purchase of two digital signs to provide the outside world and residents with updates of what there is to offer of Los Banos. With one sign placed at the Community Center and the other on Hwy. 152, the City hopes to encourage drivers to stop and visit the downtown, San Luis Wildlife Refuge, the Los Banos May Day Fair, the Tomato Festival, or one of many other events and activities offered in this small community. With residents coming from throughout the area, there is no one resource for news. The digital sign allows the City and Chamber of Commerce, as well as organizations and the Wildlife Service to promote and educate all of those who drive the main thoroughfare. With all the natural charm of Los Banos’ outskirts and the quaintness and uniqueness of Los Banos’ Downtown, it is hoped others will find this hidden gem something special and worth coming back to again and again.
