San Marino's Lacy Park, Old Mill, and Taiwanese Sister City

San Marino is home to one of the world’s greatest cultural, research, and educational centers the Huntington Library. A private, nonprofit institution, The Huntington was founded in 1919 by Henry E. Huntington, an exceptional businessman who built a financial empire that included railroad companies, utilities, and real estate holdings in Southern California. Huntington was also a man of vision – with a special interest in books, art, and gardens.

Home of the LA Galaxy, 2011 MLS Cup Champions

Carson’s Home Depot Center is home of the LA Galaxy, 2011 Major League Soccer (MLS) Cup Champions. The Galaxy defeated Houston Dynamos 1-0 in a championship game held at the Galaxy’s home field on November 20, 2012.

The sports complex has been home to the Galaxy and another Los Angeles team, Chivas USA since 2003. It is also the training center for the United States Soccer Federation’s (USSF’s) Men’s and Women’s National Teams, and in addition to having hosted three MLS Cup events, the facility has also hosted numerous memorable soccer matches, including the 2003 FIFA Women’s World Cup Final, the 2003 MLS All-Star Game, and a number of the world’s top club teams including AC Milan, Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid.
